Use these planning rules to estimate portions for any food and any group. All numbers assume an adult with normal appetite — adjust by ±15-20% for light or hungry crowds.

Sides
Salad: 60g greens (side) or 120g (main). Bread roll: 1-2 per person.
Drinks
Coffee: 2 cups/adult. Wine: ½ bottle/adult. Soft drinks: 2 servings/adult.
Desserts
Cake: 1 slice/person. Cookies: 2-3 per person.
